Swale Borough Council is committed to developing and supporting its visitor economy and town centres working with local partners; with its three distinct destinations – Faversham, the Isle of Sheppey and Sittingbourne as well as their surrounding villages, countryside and coast. Improving the attractiveness of the place not just to visitors but also residents, investors and incoming skilled workers. Our destination strengths lie in our outstanding landscapes and coastline, our rich and varied heritage including our market towns, festivals and events, food and drink, arts and creativity, and of course our people!
With a dedicated team and working with partners and businesses we can increase and develop the contribution that our destination and place makes to our local economy. We have a new and exciting opportunity for an experienced project officer, educated to degree level in a relevant subject and with proven experience, to join our small Destination and Place team.
Supporting the delivery of the Visitor Economy Framework you will also act as the primary contact for town centre matters including developing town centre plans. You will have responsibility for maintaining and developing the web portal, Visit Swale and its social media channels. Together we can make it happen.
This is a permanent full-time position.
